service learning

last weeks meeting was good. we were planning what to do for the next couple of weeks of service learning. since we already did our event we were planning to go to a childrens hospital and maybe read to them or just volunteer to spend the day with them. so for the next meeting we will probably be choosing what hospitals were going to and what we will be doing.

well todays were gonna be focused on rapping things up for our event this saturday! were gonna be making basking and getting allk the prizes ready to raffle. at our event were gonna have diffrents games and prizes raising money for frankie's fight.

Service Learning Meeting #2

yea yea yea....... yesterdays meeting was OK but i think it finally hit me and a lot of other people in my group that we only have 2 weeks to plan our event which is may 3rd...... so as far as I'm concerned we definitely have to get a move and and put all our plans into action. its kinda short notice and we have so much to do and so Little time but i think if we all work together we can accomplish it and get it done, i have a lot a faith in our event and know it will work out.

THE MEETING!

The meeting on Friday was good we got a lot of thing out on the table and i think our plans are really coming together. i hope this meeting we will put our thoughts into action and get a lot done I'm looking forward to it!

service learning

what interest me for service learning is working with kids. i think that kids younger kids look up to us and the impression we make o them reflects on the type of person they become when they get older. so i think that helping them whether its with their homework or just talking to them about their future high school experience. so if if i had to suggest a service learning project that i would want to do this would be it. some other suggestions for service learning would be maybe cleaning a school or street, painting a mural or even tutoring little kids.................. to be continued.

i thought nhd was very hard especially with having to hear miss thompsons mouth all the time. she annoys the heck out of me and gives me nightmares.anyway things i learned from this experience were to next time pick a better partner, choose an interesting and well known topic so that u can find more research on it, and last but not least to TAKE IT SERIOUSLY AND WORK HARD FROM THE BEGGINING. well what i did enjoy was learning more about my topic and other peoples topic. i learned a lot about technology>> and i also learned a lot about myself, i didn't know that i was capable of working so hard but i did it and even though i did not make it to city's I'm still glad i did it cause i learned a lot. some suggestions for next year would be to start the workshops earlier and organize them more. in conclusion although nhd was stressful; i learned a lot that will most likely benefit me next year.
